President - Rodney Waldeck (UK)

Rodney's experience has been in the private, public and voluntary sectors. In South Africa he was responsible for the planning and provision of medical and social services to majority population groups in the country.

He worked for many years at a statutory body in the UK, the Commission for Racial Equality, as a senior employment policy advisor and also in the private sector as an HR consultant.

Rex is co-head of the Supreme Court and Appellate practice at Akim Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP

Rex has been a member of the:

  • Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles

He is recognized by Best Lawyers in America for Appellate Practice, Litigation – First Amendment and

Media Lawin 2013 and 2014

 

David Heidrich

David Heidrich serves as CEO of Zalla Companies, responsible for overall strategy for growing the portfolio of developed and owned assets. He is also an owner of the Stewart Iron Works, of Erlanger, Kentucky.  Stewart has a rich 154-year history of artistry in metal for many United States landmarks. His community involvement runs deep.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, as well as a board member for Tri County Economic Development, Inc. His past community activities include leadership roles with Covington Catholic Sc, United Way,  Leadership Kentucky and Crossroads Church It was through his involvement with the latter that he became a supporter of Topsy SA and Topsy USA.

Brenda Levine

Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Brenda spent two years working in London before moving to New York where she settled and became a US  citizen.
Brenda has worked at the highest levels of business, government and philanthropy and brings to Topsy a history of activism with particular emphasis on Africa.

In addition, she served on the Board of the Wagner Society of New York.  She is now semi-retired but, as an ardent New Yorker, continues to be involved with the cultural and intellectual life in the city.
